Construction for the 318 bed, 120-unit luxury off-campus community for students at Ferris State began broke ground in July of 2018. The project wrapped up at the end of summer 2019, taking just over a year to complete.
Because of the close proximity to the Big Rapids water tower, one of the biggest challenges Thornapple faced was the constant groundwater in excavations. Crews had to fight against this as they installed more than 6,000 linear feet of underground utilities.
The Eight Thirty Water Tower development is now open for leasing.
